The role also involves managing line workmen and workstations, training inspectors, supporting capability development, and applying ISO, Quality Systems, SPC, Six Sigma, quality control tools, and Japanese manufacturing practices such as 5S, 3G, 3K, 3R and Horenso. Knowledge of automotive regulations and passenger vehicle inspection standards is required.
