Business Need
Santander is initiating a new project to migrate PowerCenter workflows to Python. The role requires a senior developer with strong ETL pipeline expertise and hands-on experience in vendor management and data warehousing environments.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, configure, test, debug, and document Python-based ETL pipelines.
Migrate existing PowerCenter processes into Python solutions.
Work with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions preferred) and manage code repositories (GitHub).
Integrate with cloud databases (Snowflake preferred) and scheduling tools (Control-M).
Apply data warehousing techniques (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, Facts, Dimensions).
Conduct technical validations, support UAT, and participate in architecture/design/code reviews.
Evaluate functional requirements and provide constructive feedback on design documents.
Prepare technical design specifications aligned with functional requirements.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Must-Have Skills
8–10 years of IT experience.
Strong Python development expertise.
IDE experience (Visual Studio Code preferred).
CI/CD pipeline knowledge (GitHub Actions preferred).
Code management (GitHub).
Cloud database experience (Snowflake preferred).
Scheduling tools (Control-M preferred).
Nice-to-Have Skills
Data warehousing expertise.
Unix skills.
