Role Overview
Client is looking for a hands-on C++ Software Engineer with strong experience in Linux-based systems, distributed environments, and containerized applications.
This is a high-impact role in a performance-critical environment involving simulation systems, large-scale data processing, and real-time applications. The ideal candidate should be technically strong and capable of working in a fast-paced, engineering-driven setup.
Must-Have Skills (Strict – Do Not Submit Without These)
Strong C++ development experience (recent and hands-on)
Advanced Linux system-level experience
Networking protocols: TCP/IP, UDP, DDS
Hands-on experience with Docker & Kubernetes
Experience working with Distributed Systems
Strong knowledge of SQL / Relational Databases (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.)
Experience in simulation systems or large-scale data processing (highly preferred)
Nice-to-Have Skills
Java + frontend framework exposure
Python scripting
Experience with vector geometry / spatial analysis
Prior experience in aviation / defense domain
Experience with Git / SVN or similar version control tools
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and enhance C++ applications for performance and scalability
Work on distributed systems and simulation-based environments
Develop and manage containerized applications using Docker & Kubernetes
Handle large datasets and complex data modeling tasks
Collaborate with cross-functional teams for deployments and integrations
Perform system-level programming and troubleshooting in Linux environments
Ideal Candidate Profile
7–12+ years of experience
Strong backend/system-level engineering background
Experience in real-time systems, simulations, or high-performance environments
Comfortable working onsite in Arlington, VA (5 days/week)
